Today was the culmination of a friendly competition for a great cause. Over the last year the Hookies Bar & Grill and the American Italian Bocce Club memberships have been collecting can tabs for a donation to the Shriners Children's Hospital in Philadelphia. On the first Saturday in March each club comes together for the final collection count. The Hookies brought 34 pounds to the collection just edging out the the Bocce Club's 33 pounds of tabs for a grand total of 67 pounds! With the collection each membership is donating $1,000 to Shriners Hospital for Children!

This is an ongoing collection for a great cause and we encourage the memberships of each club to continue collecting can tabs at home and bring them in to make next year even bigger!
