Royersford PD Corporal Nerlinger Retires After 26 Years of Service

Monday morning responders from Montgomery County and the region escorted Corporal Thomas Nerlinger for his last patrol shift after 26 years. Members from surrounding law enforcement agencies along with RFD units picked up Corporal Nerlinger at his residence and driving him into Royersford Borough for his final shift.

Family Members Attend Stress and Trauma Seminar

Saturday members of RFD joined Parkside, Northend of Pottstown, Eddystone and Brookehaven for a Streetsmart Pump Operations Class. Crews went over Pump operations as a bases. Then went into real life engine work utilizing tank water and securing a positive water source before tank water ran out. This was accomplished by the operator only. How 911 Works: A Look Inside

Engine Response to Porch Fire in Spring City

Overnight personnel from Liberty, Royersford, and Ridge Fire were alerted to a residential fire on the 300 block of S. Walnut Street in Spring City Borough. Spring City Police arrived to find active fire contained to a screened porch attached to the rear of the residence. Rescue 98 Joins UPT Units at Reported Building Fire

Tuesday evening just after 5:30pm units from Upper Providence Township were dispatched to a reported building fire at Cheeburger Cheeburger. Deputy 68 arrived on scene with smoke showing from the roof upgrading the assignment to bring additional units including Rescue 98. RFD Crews Keep Busy in the Snow

Royersford Fire Department was kept busy this morning as the snow came down. The Department responded to four calls between 10am and 11am. Crews responded to an automatic fire alarm, CO detector activation, and two outside electrical fires. The fire alarm and CO detector incidents were cleared with no issues found. Renovated Space Officially Dedicated to Past Members
