RFD Assists at Schuylkill Township House Fire
RFD Watchdesk, October 17
Shortly after 11pm on Thursday evening, the Royersford Fire Department was dispatched to assist at the scene of a house fire on Jug Hollow Rd in Schuylkill Township, Chester County.
The Rescue responded with a crew of five. Members filled air cylinders and assisted with clean up at the fire scene.

Grant Monies Bring New Equipment to Royersford Agencies

Yesterday Senator Katie Muth visited RFD to present Royersford's Fire, EMS, & Police personnel with new life saving equipment. Working in tandem with EMS Chief George Gilliano & Chief of Police Scot Fennelly, Senator Muth's office was instrumental in obtaining grant funding totaling $70K for new cardiac medical equipment.

Two EMS Providers Graduate from Paramedic Program

Last evening two providers from Royersford Fire Department received their graduation diploma after completing the paramedic program at Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute in West Chester. Newly certified Paramedics Hannah Overholtzer & Jacob Neveil completed the year-long program which entails hundreds of hours of classroom time along with field training in both the pre-hospital ambulance ... Float Portion of 2nd Annual River Float Canceled - Beer Garden is Still Happening

EMS Division Adds New Ambulance to Fleet

Over the last handful of weeks our EMS Division providers worked together to put into service a new 2024 E350 Ambulance to serve the Spring-Ford Community. The newest ambulance, 325-1, was officially placed into service after an exhaustive inspection by the Bureau of EMS arm of the Pennsylvania Department of Health ensuring all perimeters were met.

RFD Attends Phoenixville Parade
RFD Watchdesk, May 18
RFD members took the ladder truck to Phoenixville to attend the annual Dogwood Festival Parade which coincides with the Phoenixville Fire Department's 150th Anniversary celebration.
While rain kept the parade route cool this year, the attendees along the route cheered loudly. Fire apparatus came from throughout the region to help celebrate. Congrats to our neighbors at the PFD.
