During the evening hours of November 9, 2019, a Friendship Ambulance unit was involved in a minor, slow speed motor vehicle collision on Black Rock Road in Upper Providence Township. The EMS unit did have a patient onboard at the time of the incident in addition to the two crew members. Above all else, no injuries resulted from the incident. Department Kicks off EMR Certification Class

Yesterday Friendship Ambulance was notified the organization was again the recipient of this year's CARES Award for actively participating in the Pennsylvania Cardiac Arrest Registry to Enhance Survival (CARES). Friendship Ambulance is one of 145 EMS agencies in the Commonwealth recognized during October in observance of Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month.

Rescue & MICU Assist with Overturned Vehicle on Route 724

Early Wednesday afternoon Rescue 98 & MICU 83-4 were alerted to assist the Liberty Fire Company on Route 724 in the area of Kolb Road for an auto accident reported with a vehicle overturned. Crews arrived to find a two vehicle accident with the occupants suffering minor injuries. Members attend Aerial Operator Certification class

Currently three members are attending a national certification course to attain for Aerial Driver Operator. The course is a 24 hour course at the Chester County Public Safety Training Center in South Coatesville, Chester County.

Ladder 98 Assists on Response to YMCA

Shortly after 11am Limerick Fire Department and Trappe Fire Company were dispatched to a reported fire at the Spring Valley YMCA in Limerick Township. Police arrived to find a light fixture on fire in the ceiling. Due to the size of the building and an extensive smoke condition inside Ladder 98 and Engine 66 were dispatched to assist.
