Monday evening's School Board meeting had some unexpected attendees after a odor of natural gas was discovered inside the Spring-Ford Area High School. The School Board meeting being live streamed with in-person attendees was postponed with the building being evacuated. Spring-Ford Varsity Football Champions

Tonight the Spring-Ford Varsity Football team defeated Owen J. Roberts 55-7 to capture the PAC-10 championship! RFD along with Spring City, Limerick, and Trappe Fire Companies, along with Upper Providence Township Police Department, Spring City Borough Police Department, and Spring-Ford School Police helped welcome the team back to the stadium for a well deserved celebration. RFD Honored in Harrisburg by Senator Muth

Two Vehicle Accident in Borough Lights the Night

Overnight crews from the Fire & EMS Divisions were alerted to an auto accident at the intersection of S. Lewis Road & Washington Street in the Borough. Arriving RFD members found two vehicles with moderate damage and fluids leaking from the engine compartment. Sunday evening shortly after 7:30pm RFD along with the Liberty Fire Company were dispatched to the intersection of 2nd Avenue & Springertown Road in Upper Providence Township for a reported vehicle fire. Multi-Vehicle Accident Halts Traffic on 422

An eight vehicle accident on westbound Route 422 snarled Saturday afternoon traffic. Initial calls to 911 indicated up to ten vehicles involved with an unknown number of injuries bringing EMS units from Royersford and Limerick Fire Department.
