No Caption Overturned Vehicle in Median Snarls 422 Traffic

Tuesday evening's commute was brought to a standstill after a vehicle overturned in the median near the Township Line Road interchange. Crews from Royersford, Black Rock Volunteer Fire Company, and Trappe EMS were alerted to the incident delivering fire apparatus on both sides of the highway closing a lane in each direction. Engine Crew Handles July 4th Dumpster Fire

Shortly after 10:30pm on July 4th the Fire Division of RFD was alerted for a dumpster fire in the Spruce Court Apartments complex. Engine 98 arrived and deployed the "bumper line" from the front of the engine and quickly brought the situation under control. With a few orders remaining at the Walnut Street station from our "Keep Back 6 Feet" shirt fundraiser Ladder & Engine 98 hit the streets as delivery trucks to leave these orders on the doorsteps of some homes in Royersford and Spring City. Yesterday MICU 83-4 in Spring City received word a resident was in need of assistance with his motorized wheelchair. EMT Eric Wachter and Paramedic Lieutenant Mike Lessar arrived to find Mr. Anthony Brown enjoying the evening weather, so much so his motorized wheelchair did not have enough power to transport him back to his home. Two RFD Responses Assisting in Chester County

Both Fire and EMS units from Royersford were alerted to two incidents in Chester County assisting the Liberty Fire Company. The first mid-afternoon incident dispatched was an auto accident on Bridge Street in Spring City Borough. Crews Work Overnight to Clear Storm Damage

Two rounds of severe weather rolled through the Spring-Ford region on Wednesday afternoon and evening causing widespread damage throughout the area.
