Tuesday morning Royersford Fire Department and mutual aid from Spring City & Upper Providence were alerted to a reported outbuilding fire on the 300 block of Myrtle Street in the Borough. Initial reports indicated the fire was potentially extending into the residence adjacent to the structure prompting an upgraded assignment adding resources from Limerick, Trappe, Ridge, and Phoenixville Fire Departments. Ladder 63 from Spring City was the first to arrive making an initial attack on the fire with Ladder 98 arriving to support. After knocking down the flames and smoke seen from miles away the fire did not extend into the residence and the assignment was scaled back to units from Royersford, Spring City, Upper Providence, & Limerick.
