Last evening units from Royersford (98) and Upper Providence Township (68) were alerted to an auto accident reported on S. Lewis Road at the Spring-Ford 9th Grade Center. Within six minutes of dispatch Rescue, Engine, & Utility 98 along with Engine 68 were all onscene ensuring any hazards were mitigated from the four-vehicle collision. Additional Fire Police were requested from Trappe (77) & Spring City (63) to close S. Lewis Road between Washington Avenue & Vaughn Road. Providers from Intermediate 83-4 & cross trained fire personnel evaluated all occupants discovering only minor injuries. Fire and EMS crews worked with police officers from UPT and Limerick and determined the accident actually occurred in Limerick Township with a notification made to the appropriate agencies. Units were released from the scene with the roadway being reopened after approximately 40 minutes.
