Saturday members of RFD joined Parkside, Northend of Pottstown, Eddystone and Brookehaven for a Streetsmart Pump Operations Class. Crews went over Pump operations as a bases. Then went into real life engine work utilizing tank water and securing a positive water source before tank water ran out. This was accomplished by the operator only. Then crews went over multi-hand line operations and apparatus maximum flow. After lunch crews went over relay pumping operations and over coming typical apparatus issues encountered on fire scenes.
The class was taught by an Awesome group of guys from Eckerd Fire Tactics who enjoyed sharing their knowledge and experience.
