RFD family members attended "The Other Heroes: Those Who Love a First Responder" seminar at the Montgomery County Public Safety Training Campus, discussing how to assist their First Responder and themselves when dealing with stress and trauma. Presented by members of the Montgomery County CISM TEAM and MCES, the seminar touched on topics on how to identify stress caused by critical incidents/ trauma situations in a First Responder and how loved ones can offer support. First Responders loved ones are usually the first to identify stress/mental health issues and the first line of support.
