RFD personnel were alerted to an auto accident just before midnight overnight. A collision just down the block from our Green Street station, where the EMS units are housed, brought a full Department response to 2nd Avenue and Green Street. Arriving crews found a two vehicle collision where one of the vehicles struck a fire hydrant on the corner. EMS tended to those involved while Fire personnel mitigated hazards until the roadway was cleared. Also onscene was Royersford Borough Police Department.
