Highlights for the Department included:
- Announcing the partnership between Phoenixville Hospital, Tower Health, and Friendship Ambulance to provide non-emergent transport service
- Training throughout the year including Autism Awareness, new Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), and the start of an Emergency Medical Responder certification class
- The addition of four Full Time paramedics and multiple Advanced EMTs to the EMS Division roster
- The delivery of two new ambulances and a new fire engine to the Department
- Another successful Emergency Services Night with our community partners
- Four community focused education courses on CPR, First Aid, and Stop the Bleed
- The expansion of our Educational Video series
- Upgrading EMS equipment with powered EMS litters and loading systems

All of this would not be possible without the support of our social club and of course the community. We cannot thank you enough for your continued support as we enhance our services to provide nothing short of the best fire protection and pre-hospital medical care for the Spring-Ford Community.

A special thank you to the Borough Councils of Royersford & Spring City as well as the Board of Supervisors in Upper Providence, Limerick, and East Vincent Townships for your trust in our fire and EMS personnel to serve the residents. Our recently elected officials Senator Katie Muth and State Representative Joe Ciresi have already stepped to the plate for us having multiple meetings with our officials and being a part of Emergency Services Night as well as our always amazing Mayor Jenna Antoniewicz.

We also take a moment to tip our hats to our mutual aid partners who without a doubt are our community partners serving the region. This includes our very own Royersford Borough Police Department as well as Upper Providence Township Police Department, Limerick Township Police Department, Spring City Borough Police Department, East Vincent Township Police Department & Spring-Ford School District Police. Additionally we thank our fire partners at Limerick Fire Department, Trappe Fire Company, Black Rock Volunteer Fire Company, Upper Providence Township Department of Fire & Emergency Services, Ridge Fire Company, Kimberton Fire Company, and of course Liberty Fire Company who houses our Chester County EMS unit MICU 83.

We look forward to so many great things coming in 2020! If you want to be a part of the Royersford Fire Department, reach out to us right here on our website, via our social media outlets, or just stop by the Walnut Street station on Monday evenings between 6:30pm-7pm to get involved. 2020 is already shaping up to be our best year yet and we'd love to have you along for the ride.

Again, from all of us at Royersford Fire Department & Friendship Ambulance, thank you.
