The RFD crews were alerted to a mid-afternoon fuel spill assisting the Liberty Fire Company in East Vincent Township, Chester County. Units from Liberty, Royersford, and Limerick arrived to find a tractor trailer which had made a turn from Route 724 onto Reitnour Road and in the process had an obstruction strike the oil pan of the truck spilling oil along the roadway. Crews worked to contain the spill until Lewis Environmental deployed a team to handle the remaining cleanup and disposal. Engine 98 returned to Royersford after approximately 45 minutes.
