Members of the department are continually looking to further their education and provide better service to the Royersford community. Currently three members are attending a national certification course to attain for Aerial Driver Operator. The course is a 24 hour course at the Chester County Public Safety Training Center in South Coatesville, Chester County.

The members went to classroom sessions two nights last week and were instructed on the latest information regarding use of apparatus like our ladder truck. The other component of this training is hands-on practical training in which they use the truck and learn the capabilities for use in firefighting and rescue operations.

We wish the crew best of luck when they return later this week to test out and become certified.
