Vehicle Accident Closes Main Street at the Railroad Crossing

At 12:54pm, the RFD (Fire and EMS) were dispatched to a vehicle accident with injuries at Main Street and the Railroad Crossing. Montgomery County Department of Public Safety reported the collision involved a SEPTA bus and a water transport truck. EMS arrived and did evaluated all parties involved to find no patients requiring transport. Additionally there were no passengers on the SEPTA Bus at the time of the incident. Fire personnel checked for leaking fluids and provided assistance with traffic control as the accident closed one lane of Main Street between 1st and 2nd Avenues.

While providing assistance units were notified of a secondary accident at 2nd Avenue and Main Street. Both Fire and EMS units again provided patient evaluation with no patients being transported. All units cleared Main Street at 330pm.
