Several capital purchases of medical equipment were unveiled to the Royersford Borough Council Members prior to their scheduled meeting on Tuesday June 10th. Friendship Ambulance personnel displayed the equipment, totaling just over $40,000, which were obtained through municipal funding provided by Royersford Borough. The equipment purchased included a LUCAS device used in cardiac arrest emergencies to deliver high-quality chest compressions and a video laryngoscope used for placing endotracheal tubes (aka breathing tubes). The video laryngoscope has the capability to capture images and videos for documentation and training purposes.
We'd like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our municipal partners who continually show support by understanding the struggles of EMS agencies and contributing to the sustainability of our team.
