Yesterday the EMS leadership team had the support SUVs on display for the Case Management and ER staff at Pottstown and Phoenixville Hospitals. These vehicles have been outfitted to provide a safe and comfortable transport for those voluntarily seeking mental health assistance. With the increase of services related to mental health the hospitals and community partners recognized the need for specialized transport and working with representatives from Tower Health our team was able to identify a solution which allows patients transport in an SUV instead of a traditional ambulance. The SUVs have been outfitted with a partition and video monitoring system allowing safe transport for both the patient and the driver.
