Yesterday department members pulled double duty handling two very important assignments. The first starting bright and early was preparing and then holding the annual Breakfast with Santa at Friendship Hall. Members were on hand during the early morning hours scrambling eggs, flipping pancakes, cooking up the bacon and sausage, and brewing the coffee. With the arrival of Mr. & Mrs. Claus the morning stayed steady with food and drinks constantly moving. We cannot thank the community enough for your great showing of support for the department and coming out to spend your Saturday morning with us!

As Breakfast with Santa continued through the morning, Lieutenant Elliott Guffey and EMS Supervisor Lenny Brown loaded up in Engine 98 & Supervisor 325 to make their way to Plymouth Ambulance for the 9th Annual Operation Christmas Kids Toy Run. Dozens of apparatus from the area created a convoy of toys leaving Medic 308's main station on Germantown Pike traveling to Bryn Mawr Hospital and then St. Christopher's Hospital for Children to deliver toys to those who may not be able to celebrate at home this holiday season. While traveling local and state police blocked intersections and on-ramps to allow the convoy of toys to make their way the down highway and through the neighborhoods. Dozens, if not hundreds, of bystanders lined the sidewalks as the apparatus made their way to the hospitals making quite a bit of noise. Thank you to Plymouth Ambulance and all their hard work and dedication to this event as it continues to grow each year bringing smiles and joy to some very special kids!
