We have just received word from the official North Pole scheduler that Santa himself will be in town on December 15th for his annual Breakfast with Santa event! Breakfast will take place at Friendship Hall on Green Street as Santa and Mrs. Claus have grown quite fond of the space. Breakfast will be served from 8am to 1pm and the menu will include all your favorite breakfast foods including scrambled eggs, french toast, sausage, bacon and potatoes! The cost is $8.00 per person with children 5 and under eating for free! After getting a bite to eat snap a picture or selfie with everyone's favorite couple from the North Pole! Be sure to share your photos with us on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter!

On a more somber note, as all of us are painfully aware the volunteer fire service in the commonwealth and across the country is in desperate need of volunteers. Royersford Fire Department is not immune to this fact and unfortunately as a department were forced to make difficult decisions in regards to our holiday events. Due to the amount of time and manpower required to organize and staff our annual "Santa Run" we have decided to forego bringing Santa Claus around town on the firetruck for this holiday season. This was not a decision which came easily. With an increasing demand on volunteers for training and call volume, a decreasing number of personnel, and responsibilities outside of the fire department including family events and work commitments we simply cannot safely or effectively undertake this event. As we are pointing all our efforts to our Santa Breakfast we hope you, your family, and your neighbors will join us for this great event and an opportunity to see Mr. & Mrs. Claus, grab a great breakfast, and support your local responders.
