If you were traveling on 422 yesterday near Oaks, you may have seen a display of fire apparatus, police, and tactical units at Lowes. This was not an actual emergency but the annual fire expo event which brings the area's emergency responders to Upper Providence Township and gives an opportunity to interact with the community.
In addition to apparatus being on display there was a ghost pepper chicken wing eating contest won by Linfield Fire Company's Christian Flynn! On display were several K9's trained to sniff out drugs and explosives as well as a demonstration. Several motorcycle police were on hand for a riding demonstration to dazzle the crowd. Crews took part in a vehicle rescue demonstration with a minivan which was on its side and the roof was removed. Food and vendors were also on location for this great annual event. Thankfully the rain held off and it was a great time for the community and responders alike.
