Last evening weeks of planning and logistics all came together with multiple organizations and agencies converging on the corner of Walnut Street & 3rd Avenue for the inaugural Royersford Emergency Services Night. With roadways closed around the immediate area Spring-Ford residents and visitors were able to freely navigate through firetrucks, ambulances, police vehicles, and interact with local responders. Local eateries were on hand to provide snacks and drinks for those walking around. Also in attendance were representatives from Royersford Borough council and well as County and State Representatives. In addition to displaying equipment and apparatus responders showed off some skills including Limerick Township Police K-9 Officer Rambo & Officer Chris Wienczek showing how they can detect illegal substances inside a car as well as how Rambo can be deployed to subdue an aggressive subject. Fire & EMS crews put their skills and rescue tools to use during a vehicle rescue demonstration removing doors and the roof of a vehicle to safely extricate a patient.

Below is a complete list of organizations, agencies, and representatives in attendance last evening. If we missed you please comment or send us an email so we can thank you properly! Also below is a Facebook link to Mayor Jenna Antoniewicz's photo album of the event. Please feel free to share your photos of the event with us via email to our website at info@rfd98.org or tag us on Social Media!

On behalf of the entire Royersford Fire Department and all those in attendance thank you for coming out and supporting our first responders! To have so many members of the community join us for this event was amazing and truly embodies why the Spring-Ford community is the best!
