Both Fire & EMS assisted the Ridge Fire Company this afternoon on a garage fire in East Vincent Township. Crews arrived to find a garage on W. Bridge Street engulfed in flames measuring approximately 60 feet by 30 feet. Due to the location of the fire and the lack of sustainable water supply in the immediate area multiple tankers were dispatched to assist with shuttling water to the scene. MICU 83-2 arrived and established fireground rehabilitation while Engine 98 responded and established a "fill site" for tankers to refill their water tanks and return to the scene. Companies from three counties responded to the incident with firefighters as far away as Caernarvon Fire Company in Lancaster assisting. Three fire personnel were transported from the scene to a local hospital for various unrelated minor issues. In total nine engines, four tankers, one ladder, and six EMS units responded.
