During the August meeting of the department the membership approved funds to purchase and send items to a staff member and his military unit currently deployed overseas. The department purchased and sent various toiletry items as well as comfort items such as coffee to the deployed United States Army Reserves unit.

At the request of the Commanding Officer of the unit we are not releasing names or locations of the unit. We continue to be in contact with its members and wish not only our friends and loved ones the best while they serve our country but all service members both domestic and abroad for their sacrifices.
