This morning the Royersford Fire Department was honored to host a Q.P.R. Gatekeeper training session focusing on suicide prevention. QPR stands for Question, Persuade, Refer and prepares those in attendance to recognize the warning signs of suicide, ask someone about suicidal thoughts, as well as offer and connect to the individual to help. Organized by Mayor Jenna Antoniewicz in cooperation with the Montgomery County Suicide Prevention Taskforce over a dozen attendees received what could literally be life-savings tools and information.
