Last evening Operational and Administrative officers gathered at the Green Street Station to officially dedicate a newly renovated area for use. This area on the first floor of the station has seen a number of uses over the years and over the last decade has been an underutilized space being primarily used for short-term storage of equipment and ongoing projects. RFD leadership with the approval of the Department membership moved forward with an in-depth renovation transforming this space from an undefined shell to a state of the art conference room. In addition to the monies allocated from the Department, State Representative Joe Ciresi secured an additional $30,000 in state funding towards the planned renovation. This area will provide a professional, secured, and updated venue for meetings, daily business happenings, and training for the entire Royersford Fire Department membership.

This vision and project would not be possible without the support from a number of agencies and organizations. A sincere thank you to Rick Pizzico and Pizzico Signs for his continued support of the Department and the beautiful dedication sign proudly hanging in this new area. As mentioned, State Representative Joe Ciresi and his staff for securing funding through the state to truly take this space to the next level. Quite possibly the biggest thank you to Pops Home Care and owner Paul Seeley for the construction and bringing the vision of this space to a reality.

The dedication sign displayed reads:

"This room is dedicated to those who came before us paving the way and demonstrating the values that we stand for every day. Your direction, dependability and motivation of yesterday, allows us to maintain the right direction today.

You built the bridges, Made the connections, Brought us to success.

We thank each and every leader who made a difference when serving in this department."

Remembering those that laid the foundation for the amazing organization you have become is such a great tribute. I know I appreciate them and everyone that continues to serve. In memory of my late brother, Kyle Freed, life member...THANK YOU.
