During the overnight Sunday into Monday RFD units were alerted to a wooded section along 2nd Avenue in Upper Providence Township to assist PECO onscene with a burning utility pole. The pole was located away from the roadway prompting an off-road response from Trappe Fire Company's four wheel drive apparatus to extinguish the smoldering pole. PECO crews secured the electricity to the pole while fire crews mitigated hazards present allowing PECO to continue their repairs of the system.
