Over the last several weeks RFD leadership evaluated Department needs and capabilities and in an effort to provide better incident response support Department SUVs were realigned. The EMS Supervisor Ford Explorer has been redesignated for use primarily by the Fire Chief increasing the ability of the Fire Division to place multiple support units onscene. The traditional grey was replaced with the RFD color scheme, white over red, by Pizzico Signs to match the fleet. Command 98, a 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe, will continue to be available for use by Department Officers with Utility 325, a 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe available primarily for EMS support functions.
