Thursday morning Friendship crews were honored to speak to the campers at the Upper Providence Township Preschool Camp being held at the Recreation Center. The week long camp focused on "Community Helpers" and how individuals and specific professions help in everyday life. Firefighter/EMT Eric Wachter & Firefighter/Paramedic Kevin Betz spent some time with the campers speaking to the role of EMS in the community and how EMS professionals help people who are sick and injured. The campers were shown various equipment used during medical emergencies including the cardiac monitor and the patient litter. To top it off the campers were treated to climbing in the patient compartment of the ambulance to beat the heat for a few minutes.
Thank you to Upper Providence Township Department of Parks & Recreation and Recreation Coordinator Sarah Sato for inviting us to this awesome event!
