July kicked off on a positive note with our EMS Division receiving word of securing a grant through the Pennsylvania EMS Provider Foundation and Highmark, Inc. The grant application closed mid-May of this year with over 500 applications totaling over $87 million in requests. Friendship Ambulance is proud to announce our application was selected as a recipient of funds totaling $22,267 which will go towards the purchase of an additional cardiac monitor. These funds to our providers was secured by Scott Ryno, Director, Fire & EMS Administration at Cornerstone Adminisystems, Inc. Mr. Ryno has been a tremendous asset to the organization in the acquisition of multiple successful grant opportunities for RFD to continue delivering premier emergency care to the Spring-Ford community.
