Thursday evening MCEDS paged Royersford Fire leadership for a special assignment received by the 911 dispatch center. A resident in Upper Providence Township reported ducklings stuck in a storm drain unable to find a way out. RFD personnel responded to the scene removing the grate and descending into the subterranean space to rescue our new feathery friend as well as a cell phone which was dropped in prior to RFD arrival.
