Just before the six o'clock hour struck last evening the EMS Division was dispatched along with Limerick Fire Department to Route 422 for the report of a motor vehicle accident. A single vehicle traveling east collided into the center guidewires of the highway sending debris airborne crashing through the windshield of a vehicle traveling west. The projectiles shattered the windshield on the passing vehicle causing facial injuries from tempered glass. The driver of the vehicle was transported by EMS to a local facility for ongoing medical treatment and wound care.
