On January 3, 2021 at 9:35am the Royersford Fire Department was alerted to a Vehicle Accident on Route 422 Eastbound near the Route 29 (Collegeville Interchange) off ramp. RFD members responded with Rescue 98 and Utility 98 arriving to find a single vehicle accident with no injuries. Crews secured the vehicle and provided traffic control with the emergency response was held to the RFD units on location. RFD was assisted by Black Rock Volunteer Fire Department (Squad 99), Upper Providence Department of Emergency Services (Engine 93) and PennDot Safety Vehicle.
