A car fire on this morning added to the Halloween activities planned for crews of RFD. Engine 98 was heading to a Trunk-n-Treat event at Play & Learn Day Care on Black Rock Road when the Department was alerted to a car fire on westbound 422. Engine 98 responded immediately heading to the highway assisting Upper Providence Township Department of Fire and Emergency Services and Black Rock Volunteer Fire Company. Engine 98 provided blocking and assisted for personnel working to extinguish the flames. Rescue 98 also responded to the incident to assist.

After clearing the highway Engine 98 traveled to the Trunk-n-Treat event making a fashionably late entrance with some emergency lights for everyone at the event. The engine was surrounded by ghouls, goblins, princesses, and astronauts just to name a few.
