Sunday evening shortly after 7:30pm RFD along with the Liberty Fire Company were dispatched to the intersection of 2nd Avenue & Springertown Road in Upper Providence Township for a reported vehicle fire. As crews arrived they discovered a more dynamic situation which all began when a vehicle crashed through the road closure at 2nd Avenue & Hafner Road striking signs and knocking over a portable toilet. The vehicle left this location heading north on 2nd Avenue towards Royersford when it struck another vehicle at the dispatched intersection. The crew of MICU 325-3 being proactive was already onscene with fire units determining no one involved required EMS care. The incident is under investigation by Upper Providence Township Police Department.
