The Royersford Fire Department and Friendship Ambulance are adding a 5th ambulance to the fleet for the first time in the history of the Department! The addition of 325-5 brings an additional transport unit into the Spring-Ford community adding increased flexibility and continuity to the pre-hospital medical system. This 2013 Ford E-350 was a diamond in the rough with only 15,800 original miles and will be used in a reserve capacity being placed on the frontline when another vehicle is not available.

Despite a decrease in call volume during the height of COVID-19 earlier this year the EMS Division is on pace to match the total volume for 2019 at just over 4,200 calls for service via 911. This does not include our expanded non-emergency transport service in partnership with Tower Direct serving their hospitals & other local facilities. Adding the 5th transporting ambulance brings the EMS fleet total to eight with five ambulances, two support SUVs, and the paratransit unit.

325-5 will be outfitted with the necessary equipment to meet Pennsylvania Department of Health licensure requirements for certification over the next few days before being placed into service. Thank you to Pizzico Signs for the photos and another great vehicle lettering!
