A failed motor unit at the Parkhouse Complex on Black Rock Road in Upper Providence Township set off the fire alarms alerting Royersford Fire Department and Upper Providence Township Department of Fire and Emergency Services units. Arriving units discovered a smoke condition on multiple floors prompting the assignment to be upgraded to a building fire response adding units from Trappe, Black Rock, Liberty, and Phoenixville Fire Departments. Crews worked together locating the source of the smoke to be a failed motor unit and isolated the hazard securing the power. A massive effort to ventilate the facility followed with all residents and staff remaining in the building during operations.

A big thank you to the Parkhouse staff who wanted in unison with fire units to ensure the safety of the residents and fellow staff members while fire crews worked inside the facility.
