Both Fire and EMS units from Royersford were alerted to two incidents in Chester County assisting the Liberty Fire Company. The first mid-afternoon incident dispatched was an auto accident on Bridge Street in Spring City Borough. Rescue 98 and 325-3 were dispatched linking up with the crews from Spring City to handle hazards and shutting down the 100 block of Bridge Street until the vehicle was cleared from the roadway. The second call for service for Engine 98 was to Stony Run Road & Route 724 for a reported vehicle fire. Crews again collaborated to make quick work of the situation.

During the daytime hours when our volunteers are typically working and unable to respond we add additional resources to our standard dispatches. Royersford Fire Department and Liberty Fire Company have mutually added each other to their responses to ensure a proper and safe number of personnel are responding when volunteer counts continue to dwindle. We are always looking for members to give back to the community especially during daytime hours. If you're interested in getting involved or have questions we'd be more than happy to answer them and see how you can be a part of RFD.
