RFD crews took advantage of the warm evening on Monday to hone their skills using a fire hydrant and establishing water supplies. While some may feel this is a basic skill in the fire service, creating muscle memory in stressful situations is important. It also gives members the opportunity to ask questions and learn the intricacies of using a hydrant.
