The students from the Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) class being held at Royersford Fire Department spent the weekend putting in two full days of hands-on practical skills to round out the course. Students representing Royersford Fire Department, Royersford Borough Police Department, Limerick Fire Department, Kimberton Fire Company, Earl Township Fire Company, and Flourtown Fire Company worked individually and in groups to tackle each of the skills laid before them. The class spent Friday evening and all day Saturday and Sunday honing skills and practicing for the National Registry certification exam. The next step for the EMR students is scheduling a written exam as well as be completing a skills test assessment to certify as an EMR with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians and Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Congratulations to all the students for completing the course and good luck as they each move forward to the testing phase!
