As the lunchtime hour passed on Monday units were dispatched to Route 422 Eastbound in the area of mile marker 182.4 for an auto accident. On the initial response was both Fire & EMS Divisions of RFD, Upper Providence Township Fire & Emergency Services, Black Rock Volunteer Fire Company, Collegeville Fire Company, and Trappe EMS. As personnel arrived they discovered one vehicle off the roadway into a wooded area with one occupant semi-conscious and unable to exit the vehicle. Fire/Rescue crews assembled equipment while EMS made access into the vehicle to assess the driver's injuries. Crews removed the driver's door from the vehicle providing a route for extrication. 325-1 transported the patient to Paoli Hospital for continuing treatment and care. A special thanks for Chief 324 (A. White) for his onscene support with our EMS crews providing a great team dynamic #OneTeamOneMission |
