Royersford Fire Department and the Harrisburg Area Community College's Shumaker Public Safety Center are partnering to bring a hybrid/blended EMT program to Montgomery County! This great opportunity allows for a schedule friendly course outline allowing students to learn medical content online with in-person practical sessions scheduled every other Sunday and one full weekend to round out the program. Several of our EMS providers are adjunct instructors for HACC's EMS programs and will be leading the practical sessions. The deadline to signup is March 6th, 2020 or until the roster is full. The course will start on Sunday March 22nd with the class meeting on the following dates:
- March 22nd
- April 5th, 19th
- May 3rd, 17th, 31st
- June 14th, 27th, 28th

Embedded in this program will be an EMR to EMT bridge class. The shortened curriculum allows those who already possess an active EMR certification to obtain an EMT certification on a shorter schedule. Those interested in this track are required to attend the following dates and the deadline to signup for the bridge program is April 6th, 2020 or until the roster is full:
- April 19th
- May 3rd, 17th, 31st
- June 14th, 27th, 28th

The full EMT course is Section Number 51369 with the EMR-EMT Bridge being Section Number 51371.
