At 8:44pm the Department was alerted to a trash fire in the Providence Forge development in Upper Providence Township. Initial reports indicated there was a small fire outside but near a residence. First arriving units found the fire to be underneath a carport and against an exterior wall to the structure. The request was made for the working fire upgrade bringing mutual aid units in the event the fire had penetrated through the wall and entered the structure. Crews were able to quickly extinguish the visible flames and determine the fire remained outside of the structure with the additional units being cancelled. Crews ensured the entirety of the area was cooled before returning to station.
