Last week our EMS Division added yet another Advanced EMT to our roster! Adrienne Byers, who has been with the RFD team since October 2018, joins the growing list of our intermediate level providers. An athletic trainer for nine years as well as being involved in EMS for four years striving to continue her education and skills. In addition to being an athletic trainer and EMS provider, she has also been an educator teaching for three years. Adrienne initially entered into the EMS community to put an emphasis on her treatment of medical emergencies while operating as an athletic trainer. Dipping her toes into EMS did not disappoint and she has continued to spend more and more time in the field staffing an ambulance. Adrienne adds "This has been an incredible journey and I love everyone I’ve met and everyone who’s been a helping hand on my path and in my career."

Royersford Fire Department and Friendship Ambulance continue to support our staff who continue to elevate their certification, knowledge, and treatments for the Spring-Ford Community. We are proud to utilize so many intermediate providers who are able to assist in critical situations as well as deliver a higher level of care prior to a paramedic arriving.
