Monday evening crews brushed up on hoseline advancement with a fun twist. Crews traveled to the playground at Church and 5th using the equipment to navigate through tight areas and unique layouts. While children easily bounce through the bridge and slides, an adult with a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA or airpack), a full compliment of protective gear, pulling a hoseline encounters a little more difficulty. This is a fun and interesting way to train for confined space situations as well as difficult hoseline advancements.
