Easter Afternoon Rescue on 422

Easter afternoon traffic on 422 was slowed due to a multi-vehicle accident requiring extrication. Rescue 98 along with Black Rock Volunteer Fire Company and EMS units from MICU 83 and Trappe EMS were alerted to milemarker 182.8 eastbound just before 2:30pm. Units arrived to find a multi-vehicle accident off the roadway with two vehicles suffering heavy damage. One of the vehicles required rescue tools to be deployed to allow for extrication of one of the occupants. Both occupants were transported by Trappe EMS with MICU 83-2 assisting with extrication and patient care. The incident is under investigation by Pennsylvania State Police.
