Last night in anticipation of the winter storm a crew of 8 staffed the Walnut Street station from 9pm to 6am. With most of our volunteers responding from home during the overnight hours and the road conditions deteriorating it was important for our safety as well as reducing response times to staff the station.

Early this morning Rescue 98 and 325-1 responded to a vehicle accident on Westbound 422. Black Rock Volunteer Fire Department Engine 99 and Trappe EMS 324 also assisted with the incident. The driver exited the vehicle on their own, was evaluated by EMS, and the incident turned over to the State Police before all units returned to station.
