Shortly after 10:30pm on July 4th the Fire Division of RFD was alerted for a dumpster fire in the Spruce Court Apartments complex. Engine 98 arrived and deployed the "bumper line" from the front of the engine and quickly brought the situation under control. Firefighters doused the contents inside and area immediately around the dumpster to ensure no hot spots remained. The cause of the fire is undetermined at the time of this release.
